My name is Alyssa Flaten. I am a wife, mother, visual artist, pastor, evangelist, author, educator, prayer counselor, and follower of Jesus. Jesus has healed my heart and transformed my life and its an honor to help others see and experience the transforming and healing beauty of Christ. I love multiplying the beauty of Jesus through inner healing and discipleship!
I love to learn! I graduated with an AA in Nutrition from Covenant Life Bible College and a BS in Art Education at Minnesota State University Moorhead. I am and Elijah House graduate and instructor for the Elijah House School of Heart Healing. I graduated from the Sunodia School of Healing Prayer and interned for Sunodia Prayer Counseling. I am a credentialed pastor and evangelist through the Assemblies of God and serve as a leader and teacher for Jesus School in Ames, Iowa.
I belong to Scott; and together, we founded Intentional Worship Ministries. Scott cultivates the heart of worship as a pastor at Lifepointe Church, in Ames, Iowa. Lifepointe isn't just our weekend thing--it's our family that we pursue Jesus with; and we would love to have you visit--there's always room at the table.
Behold Him is a non-profit ministry and an initiative of Intentional Worship Ministries (a non-profit 501(c)(3)) and reflects the same heart of IWM to return to first love devotion to Jesus by seeing Christ rightly so we can live and love with whole hearts.
When our heart is wounded, we can rationalize our experiences or slap a scripture on it, but our wounds continue to fester at a heart level and this seeps out into our daily lives. In prayer counseling, we partner with the Lord to walk us through our pain and invite Him to uproot those things that hinder wholeness so we can experience the finished work of the cross and His resurrection life in our everyday lives.
Carve out intentional time to pursue wholeness and transformation during this 2 day getaway. Healing prayers and teaching on generational curses, unhealthy bonds, identity lies, negative expectations and decisions, word curses, trauma, and deliverance, combined with process art, are woven into this intensive. You will leave having experienced a healing prayer model that you can take home and incorporate into your spiritual disciplines along with a visual record of what God did in your heart.
Hosted at our location, a location of your choice, or online, these experiences are formatted as either one day events or a series of 6-8 classes and include Biblical teaching by Alyssa and space to respond to the Lord through listening prayer, journaling, and/or art making. Art supplies, course books, Biblical teaching, art tutorials and demonstrations are available for the format you choose. No artistic experience needed!
One-on-one sessions occur over zoom or in person where your counselor will help you sort through the contents of your heart, hear the Holy Spirit and see the Lord and His revelation of truth in order to walk into healing, wholeness, and freedom.

This overnight intensive is an opportunity to immerse ourselves in creativity and the presence of Jesus We will explore the depths of our hearts and surrender to His healing work as we walk through teaching, journaling, and healing prayers so we can discover wholeness and multiply freedom.
